Death of Mrs. McGinnis

Margaret, wife of Alexander McGinnis, of Jackson township, Warren county, Iowa, died at their home, two miles northeast of St. Charles, at 9 o’clock p.m. Tuesday. This most excellent lady was in her seventy-third year and had been an intense but patient sufferer for many months. She was one of the early pioneers of this vicinity. She was a sister of James and R. M. Young and Mrs. James McCloskey, of Clanton Valley, and of Mrs. Lewis Keimer, of Warren county. Her husband, three daughters and five sons remain to mourn her loss. Funeral at St. Charles cemetery Wednesday afternoon.

We note the departure of Mrs. Margaret McGinnis, wife of Alex McGinnis. She was 72 years old and had been sick a long time. She was an affectionate wife and mother, and a kind neighbor. She leaves eight children, five boys and three girls, all of whom were present at the funeral, also three sisters and two brothers.
