Mrs. Grant Beem is gradually declining. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. Tusha, of St. Charles, are at her side almost constantly but do not express any hope for her recovery. She is constantly cared for by relatives and neighbors who vie with each other in their kind efforts to relieve her sufferings.

LATER.—Word comes to the publishers since the receipt of the above announcing her death on Monday night.

Elm Grove News

Mrs. Grant Beem, of near Hanley, died the 6th, and was buried in the King cemetery the 7th. The funeral procession passed through here. Two more little children are left without a mother.

Emma E. Tusha was born in Madison county, Iowa, Feb. 19th, 1867; died at her home near St. Charles Sept. 6th, 1897: age 30 years, 5 months, 28 days.

At the age of 22 years she became a member of the Methodist church at Elm Grove and lived a faithful and devoted life.

She was married March 22nd, 1891 to Mr. Grant Beem. To them was born three children: little Clara, who died at the age of four months, and Clyde aged 5 years and little Delya, aged 2 years, who with their father survive her.

Her health had been poor for some time and in January 1897 her health failed; she grew worse and waisted away until September 6th; at 11 o'clock she passed away. Her friends and relatives had been expecting her death for some time.

On September 7, all that was mortal was layed to rest in the King cemetery by the side of her little Clara there to await her reward.
