Winterset Madisonian – June 22, 1897

Grandma Hooten, mother of Mrs. E. Roberts, died on June 17th, at the home of her daughter. Had she lived until July she would have been 90 years old. Six weeks ago she fell and broke her hip. She was a great sufferer during her last sickness. Her remains were taken to Osceola where she was laid to rest until the resurrection morning.
