Mrs. Gamble, a very old lady, one of the early settlers of the township, was buried at the Potter cemetery, in this township, March 26.

Pg 3Mrs. Margaret Gamble, widow of Robert Gamble, died at her home in Crawford township, Tuesday, the 23d inst., aged 88 years. Deceased was the mother of John and Michael Gamble, Mrs. C. H. Blosser, Mrs. Mary E. McMichael and Miss Sarah J. Gamble, all of Crawford township. The family settled on the farm where Mrs. Gamble died in 1854, having come from Jefferson county, Ohio. The funeral service was held Friday. Deceased was a member of the United Presbyterian church.

Pg 5Pioneer Dead.On Tuesday, the 23d of March, Mrs. Margaret Gamble, widow of Robert Gamble, died at her home near Patterson, at the advanced aged of 88 years. Mrs. Gamble had lived in Madison county many years, having come here in 1854. She had been a member of the United Presbyterian church for a great many years, and was an earnest and zealous Christian woman. She was buried in the Montpelier cemetery.
