Mrs. Catharine Snyder, wife of Eli Snyder, died last Tuesday at Altoona, Polk county, from the effects of a paralytic stroke. The family once lived in Penn township, in this county, but for several years past made their home at Altoona.

She was the mother of six sons and daughters, one of whom is Mrs. David Bardrick, of this locality. Several of the others live at Des Moines. The funeral was held yesterday at Dexter, near the old home.

The illness of Mrs. Eli Snyder, which we noted some time ago, has at last ceased and she has gone to rest. She was buried in the Dexter cemetery.
