LOUISE DAVIS, Booneville

Louise Anne Davis, 78, of Booneville, died July 15, 2008.

Funeral services were held Saturday, July 19, at Ernst Funeral Home in Waukee. Burial was at Booneville Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Madison County Health Trust (Hospice Renovation), 300 W. Louise Davis was born May 22, 1930, in Waukee to William and Alice (Huston) Gilham. Her marriage to Silas N. Davis took place Aug. 6, 1949. Louise was primarily a farmwife. She later worked for Brady Motor Freight and McLaren’s Mortuary, where she was office manager, retiring in 1985.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Warren, William and Royce Gilham.

She is survived by her husband, Silas (Si); two sons, Ron Davis of Macksburg and Ike Davis of Prole; two daughters, Patricia Tonsi of Des Moines and Marilyn Davis-Daniels of Mount Juliet, Tenn.; a sister, June Gilham of Waukee; and eight grandchildren.
