On Christmas day occurred the funeral of Willie, the oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. James Flack, who reside about three miles east of town. He was about nineteen years old, and was a promising young man. His loss is deeply felt by his sorrowing friends, to whom great sympathy was shown by the very large procession which followed the remains from the residence to the cemetery. The service was held in the Methodist church, Rev. Ewan officiating.

Note: Burial was made in the St. Charles cemetery.
