Winterset Madisonian – October 2, 1896
Mr. David Harris, who had been sick for some time, died last Sunday morning at the residence of his son-in-law, Mr. T. L. Mullinnix, where had long made his home. Mr. Harris was a man well along in years. He was of Welsh extraction, and was by trade a stone mason. The funeral was held at three o’clock yesterday afternoon, from the Mullinnix home.

Pg 8Death of an Old Citizen.—Mr. David Harris died at the home of his son-in-law, T. L. Mullinix, in this city last Sunday morning at 5 o’clock. The funeral was held at the residence Monday at 3 p.m. Mr. Harris was an old resident of Winterset and one of our most respected citizens. For the past twenty years he found a pleasant and comfortable home with his daughter, Mrs. Mullinix. He was 70 years old.
Note: Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
