Death of Mrs. Daniels.

As we go to press we learn that Mrs. F. M. Daniels, who has long been low with consumption, died at nine o’clock this morning. The family and friends have the sincere sympathy of the community. The funeral will be held at 11 o’clock next Sunday, at the Methodist church. Mrs. Daniels was formerly Miss Mary Sprinkle.

Mrs. Mary Sprinkle Daniels, whose death was noted in this paper last week, was buried last Sunday, the funeral being held from the Methodist church and conducted by the pastor, Rev. Fred Harris, assisted by Rev. B. E. S. Ely, of the Presbyterian church. The service was attended by one of the largest funeral concourses that ever assembled in Winterset. Her death was most sad and untimely and is an especially severe affliction both to the young husband, and to the parents of the deceased, Mr. and Mrs. B. L. Sprinkle, who only a few weeks ago, were called upon to mourn the death of their son Samuel, an excellent young man and a devoted son.

Obituary

Died.—Mrs. Mary Daniels, at her home in Lincoln township, August 28th.

Mary Malvern Sprinkle was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B. L. Sprinkle of this place. She was born in Fayette county, Ohio, June 24th, 1870, and came with her parents to Madison county in April 1875. She was married to Frank Daniels December 4th, 1895. She joined the M. E. Church February 1st, 1886, and was ever a faithful Christian—a devoted Sabbath school and Epworth League worker. The funeral sermon was preached by Rev. Harris at the M. E. church in this city Sunday at 3 p.m. The capacity of the church was inadequate to accommodate even in standing room all who attended the funeral, and the procession was a continuous line of carriages from the church to the cemetery.
