The family of Wm. Rogers, living a few blocks southwest of the square were called upon to suffer a terrible bereavement on Thursday night, in the loss of their daughter Jennie, about 17 years old. She had been sick but a short time, and her people had hopes that she would be able to be up and be around again, but on Thursday she grew rapidly worse, and about 12 o’clock on that night her sickness culminated in death. The family have the sympathy of the entire city in their terrible loss.

Note: Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
