Obituary.

Died, at her home in Madison county, Iowa, January 29th, 1896, Sarah C. McDaniel. The remains were interred in the Milledgeville cemetery, Appanoose county, January 30th, 1896.

She was born in Appanoose county in the year 1858. She joined the Christian church at Milledgeville at the age 18, and lived a faithful Christian until the day of her death, and died in the triumph of a living faith. The large crowd of people that gathered at the grave only speaks to the passer by and tells the esteem in which she was held.

She was married to W. P. McDaniel January 10th, 1882, and moved with her husband to Madison county, near Winterset, in the year 1883, at which place she died. She was the mother of four children all of which are left with the husband to mourn her loss. Thus another home has been visited by the hand of death and a mother taken, but our loss is her gain, though it is hard for us to give her up. - D. O. Scott

P. McDaniel’s wife died last Wednesday morning and was taken south for burial on the 8:20 train Thursday morning. They lived north of Union Chapel.
