Died, Mrs. Nancy Gowen, at the home of her son Jesse, in Madison township, Friday, November 15, at 4 o’clock p.m. Deceased was a highly respected old lady 82 years old, and for some time had made her home with her son Jesse. Her husband died in 1862 and only two of the family survive, Jesse and William, both prosperous farmers of Madison township. The funeral occurred Sunday at Fairview church, and the remains of this good woman were laid to rest in that beautiful churchyard.

Note: Burial was made in the Fairview cemetery.
