ROBERT SMITH, MISSOURI

Robert Dale Smith, 74, of Osborn, Mo., died April 7, 2008. Graveside services were held Thursday, April 10, at Evergreen Cemetery, Osborn, Mo. Arrangements were handled by Bram Funeral Home, Maysville, Mo.

Robert Smith was born July 29, 1933, in Fedora, S.D., to Frank Edward and Emma May (Bushman) Smith. His marriage to Jeanette Jackson took place Dec. 23, 1955, in Idaho Springs, Colo. Robert worked as a farmer and carpenter. He also was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving from 1955 to 1957.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, George Smith; and a sister, Lucille.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanette, of Osborn, Mo.; three sons, Robert F. Smith of New Hampton and David A. Smith and William C. Smith, both of Winterset; one daughter, Laurie C. Hawkings of Osborn, Mo.; three brothers, Alfred Smith, Dewane Smith, and Donald Smith; two sisters, Viola Redding and Irene Harris; and three grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.
