Woodrow Wilson "Woody" Miner, a carpenter in Winterset who lived in Madison County 40 years, died Tuesday, April 13, 1976, at Madison County Memorial Hospital. He was 57 years of age.
Born October 23, 1918, Woody Miner was the son of Arthur L. Miner and Lola M. Snyder Miner. He was born in Jasper Township of Adams county, Iowa.
The marriage of Neva L. Silverthorn to Mr. Miner took place on June 1, 1958, in Winterset. She survives her husband.
Surviving children include two daughters, Marsha Sayre of Connecticut, Krishia Porter of Patterson, Iowa, and three sons, Woodrow W. Miner, Jr., of Winterset, Dennis Miner of Peru and Regie Miner of Winterset.
Also surviving are nine grandchildren, 13 step-grandchildren and six step great grandchildren.
Woody Miner was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, June Easter and Lucille French.
Funeral services for Woodrow "Woody" Miner were conducted Thursday, April 15, at 1:30 p.m. from Collins Funeral Home in Winterset, Rev. Eldon E. Jandebeur officiating. Burial was made at the Winterset Cemetery.
