The community was saddened last Tuesday by the death of the little child of Mr. and Mrs. Ed. West. Death came very suddenly; the little one being sick less than twenty-four hours. Loving hands administered to its last wants. The church was beautifully decorated with white flowers. The grave was lined with white, and everything was done by kind and loving friends to lighten the load of sorrow that was pressing upon the blow to the parents, but they have the assurance that their darling is with Jesus, and that he is beckoning them on to that better land. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Houghton. The father and mother of Mrs. Ed. West are here on a visit.

DIED.—Clennie, the youngest and only child of Edward West, is dead. She was scarcely two years old when death plucked the frail and beautiful flower from earth to bloom in the celestial realm above, where flowers do not die. She was the joy and solace of her grief-stricken parents who but a short time ago buried their oldest child. Clennie had been sick but a short time, but of such violent form that the parents became alarmed and called in the physicians who done everything within the knowledge of medical skill, but no relief came. The little sufferer passed away August 20, ’95. The parents have the sympathy of all who know them, in their sad trial. The funeral took place the following day at the Baptist church, conducted by Rev. Houghton, pastor of the church.
Note: Burial was made in the Moon cemetery.
