Mrs. Silverthorne, wife of Oliver Silverthorne, of Webster township, died at St. Joseph, from the effects of a surgical operation. She is buried in Union township, Adair county. She had made warm friends of all her acquaintances in the short time she has been in the neighborhood.

From Macksburg

On August 19th Mrs. Oliver Silverthorn passed into the beyond and was buried the Wednesday following in the Zion cemetery in Adair county. Rev. O’Flyng assisted in the funeral ceremonies.
