The funeral of Mr. Branton Moore occurred Wednesday and he was buried beside his wife at Blair Chapel. His death was the result of a very sad accident. On Tuesday he had been herding cattle in the afternoon and after supper started out to drive them in. About 7 o’clock a boy named Williams found him lying unconscious by the side of a small stump and in the sun. He reported and Mr. Moore’s son-in-law, Albert Stiles, and Tom Scrivner immediately went after him, and took him to the residence of the former, where he has made his home since the death of his wife. He never regained consciousness and died at 11 o’clock that night.

Note: Burial was made in the Blair Chapel cemetery.
