Death of HAM YOUNG

Hamilton R. Young died on Sunday evening, March 6th, 1921, at his home in Scott township. Mr. Young had been ailing for a week or so, but had assisted in doing the usual chores on Sunday evening, death coming later, from hemorrhage of the brain.

Mr. Young preceded his parents to Iowa from Pennsylvania while he was yet in his teens, making his residence in Madison county over fifty years.

He settled upon the farm in Scott township, which has been his home continuously to this time. Settling upon unimproved land, Mr. Young has cultivated a large orchard and successfully farmed his land.

Mrs. Young, the former Edna Osborn, and their four children survive, one son, Dr. Tom Young, of Glendale, Calif., being unable to be present at the funeral. The other children, Mrs. Minnie Deal of Jefferson, Dee of Des Moines and Sam of this county, are at home. Two of Mr. Young's four brothers are also here.

Funeral services were held at the home this afternoon at 2:30, burial taking place in the Winterset cemetery.

Mr. Young had a broad acquaintance to whom his sudden death brings sorrow.
