Mrs. Emma R. Weber, nee Farris was born July 29, 1864, and died April 14, 1899; aged 34 years, 8 months and 16 days. She was taken very ill suddenly at Tama City, Iowa, with nervous prostration. A telegram announced the alarming news to her friends. Lewis Madison, of Des Moines, went immediately and brought her to their home where she died after suffering about six days. Her mother, Mrs. E. J. Baker and her son Ralph of three years, reached Des Moines a short time before her death. She knew them, smiled peacefully and passed to her heavenly home.

She was a member and worker in the Church of Christ and was perfectly willing when death's summons called her from this world of care to meet her God on the other shore. Besides her bright little boy and aged mother, she leaves a sister-Mrs. L. Madison; three half sisters-Mrs. A. Brown of Missouri, Mrs. J. H. Heaton of Oklahoma and Mrs. R. Finney-and four half brothers-Johnson Farris of Kansas, Charles and J. H. Farris and M. C. Gordon. She will be sadly missed among her relatives and many friends, but thou, dearest one, mother, daughter and sister.

(Buried in Primitive Baptist cemetery)
