J. A. Dooley, an old citizen of this county, died last Monday morning at his home in Jackson township. Mr. Dooley was between 70 and 80 years of age. He had been in feeble health for several years and was further weakened by the effects of several unfortunate accidents which have happened to him. He had lived in this county for about 30 years and had earned the respect of all as an upright man and a good citizen.

The funeral was held yesterday, the remains being interred at Dexter, where a son of the deceased resides.

John A. Dooley died April 10th, 1899 at 2:40 a.m. at his home in Dexter. He was born April 2d, 1823 in Henry county, Kentucky. Funeral services were held at his home Tuesday, April 11th, at 2:00 p.m.
