Death of Mrs. Henry Comp

Nancy G. Arasmith was born in Henry County, Ill., Oct. 6, 1836 and was married to Henry Comp Dec. 25, 1861. To them were born three children, Eva C., Georgia M., and Jennie F. They removed from Illinois to Winterset about the year 1868, and have made their home in Madison county since that time, until Mrs. Comp moved to Omaha with her daughter, Mrs. F. C. Tullis, in 1893, where she died Mar. 23, 1899. Death visited her family three times, Mr. Comp and the two daughters, Eva and Georgia, having gone before.

Mrs. Comp joined the Methodist church when a girl. Her life was that of a Christian and as such she left evidence.

Her remains were brought to Winterset last Saturday and the funeral held at her old home now occupied by the family of D. K. Getchell in the west part of town.

The flowers were most beautiful, one design deserving special mention, being that of a cross and a crown, which was placed on the train by the members of the Ladies Aid of the Maccabees of that city in which she was a loved and honored member.
