ANN MORROW

Ann McCrea, daughter of James and Henrietta McCrea, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Tone Myers, Thursday, Aug. 10th, at the age of 76 years, six months and 25 days. Death came following a two and a half months illness and a stroke while visiting her daughter.

She was born near Oskaloosa, Jan. 16, 1863, and spent her early childhood days near there and Pella. On Sept. 15, 1881, she was united in marriage to Thomas C. Morrow. To this union six children were born: James C. Morrow of Osceola, Mrs. Clara Myers of Winterset, Pearl G. Morrow of Carlisle, Mrs. Lela Oliver of Des Moines, Roy D. Morrow of Des Moines and Oscar L. Morrow of Murray. Other relatives who mourn her passing are 11 grandchildren, two great grandchildren, her brother, Will McCrea of St. Charles and other relatives and friends.

At an early age she united with the Baptist church and remained a faithful member throughout her life, attending services except when hindered by failing health.

Although the greater part of her life was spent in Warren and Clarke counties, due to failing health, she had made her home with her daughter Mrs. Oliver in Des Moines the past year.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Aug. 12th at the Orr funeral home in Indianola at two o'clock. The Rev. L. Lewis Bowser, pastor of the Indianola Baptist church conducted the services. Interment was made in the Indianola cemetery.
