Two deaths in a week is not very often the case in this community. Mrs. Geo. Gillaspie died on the 17th, after several months illness, with consumption.

News Of Our Neighbors -

Mrs. Mary Gillespie died Thursday morning of this week. She had been an invalid for about two years.

Last spring her husband took her to Kansas for her health, but she grew worse and came back about three weeks ago, but continued to fail until yesterday when death relieved her suffering.

The Macksburg Visitor -

She sought relief in change of climate last spring, but it was of no benefit in arresting the fatal disease.

A large concourse of friends attended the funeral services which was conducted by Rev. Bohlander, of the German church, as Rev. H. O. Lawrence was absent.

Note: Burial was made in the Kivett cemetery.
