Old Settler Gone to Rest.
Leonard N. Smith died at his home in Lee township, September 17th, of Bright’s disease, aged 66 years. He was born in New Hampshire, emigrated to Iowa in 1856, and settled in Lee township, Madison county, Iowa, where he resided until his death.
He leaves a widow, and three married children, all living within two miles of their father’s home. Generous and kind, he leaves a host of friends who mourn is death and heartily sympathize with the bereaved family.
