Van MeterLeroy Paul Aldrich, 63, passed away Thursday, January 24, 2008 at his home in Van Meter.
Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at the United Methodist Church in Van Meter with burial at North McDonald Cemetery. Friends may call after noon Sunday at McCalley Funeral Home in Adel where family will greet friends from 1 to 4 p.m.
Leroy was born August 3, 1944 in Des Moines. He served in the Air Force, worked tool and die for 40 years and was a volunteer fireman for just over 20 years.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Linda; sons, Jerry and James; mother, Ruth; brothers, Wayne, Dennis and Loren; five grandchildren, Adam, Alex, Jesse, Jarrett and Lillian.
Memorials may be directed to the Van Meter Fire Dept. or the American Legion Post 403.
