Frances Siedel was born in Copper Harbor, Oct. 17, 1869. She was united in marriage to Charley Cleland Feb. 22, 1891 at St.Charles. She departed this life at her home in Bevington, Sunday, June 8th.
She had complained of a shortness of breath since having influenza. Her sixteen year old son Frank had met with a serious accident on Saturday and a daughter very ill in the hospital had caused her to worry. She had prepared breakfast and all were seated at the table when she fell to the floor, unconscious and never spoke.
She is survived by a husband, thirteen living children, one dead, twelve grandchildren, a father, Adam Siedel of Bevington, eight brothers and two sisters. She was a devoted mother to her home and always ready to lend a willing hand to those in need. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. J. J. Condon of Churchville at the home June 10th. Interment in Blair Chapel cemetery. The bearers were her sons and sons-in-law.
