Death of Two Garrett Brothers Within 30 Hours

Word has been received here of the death of Milan Garrett of El Paso, Texas and his brother, Matt Garrett of Seattle Washington, both former residents of this county. Milan Garrett who was 74 years of age, had been ill for several months, died on Thursday, September 19th.

Matt Garrett, who was 76 years of age, died unexpectedly of heart failure on Friday. They leave three brothers, E. O. Garrett of Cedar Falls, Vinton Garrett of Freemont, Nebraska, and Charles Garrett of El Paso Texas. The men also leave children, but their wives have been dead a number of years.

Relatives of matt Garrett and Milan Garrett received word of the death of Milan Garrett, 73, September 19 at his home in El Paso, Texas, after two month’s illness and September 20, Matt Garrett, 76, a brother, died at his home in Seattle, Washington of heart failure.

The Garretts were born in Union township and grew to manhood here. The Garretts have many friends and relatives living in Madison county.
