From Patterson

Aaron Howell, one of the oldest residents in this township, was buried January 13th, at the cemetery north of Patterson. He was born in New Jersey, came to this county in 1849. By good management he acquired considerable property. He was respected by all who knew him, being a man who allowed others a right to their opinions.

Note: Burial was made in the Montpelier cemetery.
