Curtis Van Sickle Services Held

Curtis Al Van Sickle of Truro died Sunday, December 30, at Winterset Care Center North at the age of 81. Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday January 2 at Kale Funeral Home in Truro with Rev. George Campbell officiating. Burial was at Lorimor Cemetery.

Born on January 21, 1898 in Union County, he was the son of Richard and Emily Johnson Van Sickle. He attended Lorimor schools and was a farmer.

Among the survivors are several nieces and nephews, including Elmer Rhone and Claricy Rhone of Des Moines and Ole Van Sickle of Truro. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother and two sisters.
