Rena Goodell Funeral Held

Rena Marie Goodell of Omaha, Nebr., a native of Madison County, died Friday December 14 at Maple Crest Baptist Home in Omaha at the age of 76.

Born on December 30, 1902 in Madison County, she was the daughter of Sam and Sadie Porter. She was married to John Goodell in Des Moines, and two children were born to this union. She was a member of Olivet Baptist Church in Omaha.

Surviving are her daughter, Ethel Halley; eight grandcildren; seven great-grandchildren; three brothers and two sisters. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Jack Goodell; a brother, Ralph Porter; and two grandsons.

Funeral services were held at Kramer Funeral Home in Omaha on Monday, December 17, with burial at the St. Charles Cemetery.
