Mrs. Rosa Cooley passed away at her home east of town, Thursday, Jan. 22nd at the age of 86 years. She had been a patient sufferer for several years, and was patiently waiting to be called home. Funeral services were conducted from the home on Saturday afternoon, by Rev. Cooper, pastor of the Christian church.

Mrs. Rosa Cooley, who has been an invalid for a long time, passed away at her home east of Truro last Wednesday night. Mrs. Cooley had lived at the home where she died almost as long as the writer can remember. Only a few more of the old timers are left to tell the story of the hardships that their fathers and old neighbors passed through when they settled in and around Truro.
