MRS. HARRIET DUNN DIED HERE FRIDAY

Most of Life Was Spent in Van Meter and DeSoto Communities

Mrs. Harriet Dunn, long-time resident of near Van Meter and DeSoto, died last Friday, April 9 at her home in Winterset. She had lived in this community the last year.

Mrs. Dunn was 76 years of age at the time of her death. She was the former Harriet Lena Buel, daughter of Ruben C. and Rachel Spitler Buel and was born in Illinois Oct. 3, 1871. As a small child she came to Iowa with her parents and this state remained her home until her death.

She was married March 8, 1895 to Everett C. Dunn at Guthrie Center. His death occurred in 1933.

Nearest surviving relative is a sister, Mrs. Fena Hooper of Winterset and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Sunday from the Ramsey-Richards funeral home in charge of the Rev. L. F. Davis of Winterset. Burial was made in the cemetery at Van Meter.
