The remains of A. J. Walsh, an old and respected resident, was laid to rest in St. Patricks cemetery the 9th.

ADAM WALSH
Adam Walsh, one of the very first settlers of the Irish settlement, died Thursday, the 7th of May at his home near Churchville, where he has resided for several years over the half century.
Mr. Walsh was buried on last Saturday. His remains were taken to the Catholic church of Churchville and from there to St. Patrick's cemetery in Lee township where they were left to sleep the long sleep.
The funeral was one of the largest ever seen in this part of Iowa. Mr. Walsh was 90 years of age, an honest and upright man, respected by all who knew him.
