Mrs. Laura Jefferies (Jeffries) Dies

Truro – (Special) – Mrs. Laura E. Jefferies died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Carl Patty, at Truro on November 13.

Mrs. Jefferies was the former Laura E. Fisher, daughter of John W. and Elizabeth Fisher, and was born at Carlisle on December 13, 1856. She was reared at Carlisle. She was married to George C. Jefferies, who died in 1921. They were the parents of three children, Fred Jefferies, who died in 1919, Bert Jefferies of Plover and Mrs. Patty. They also reared a grandson, Lyle E. Shutt, from infancy.

Mrs. Jefferies had united with the M. E. church in youth. She was a member of the Eastern Star at Plover.
