July 28, 1954LOCAL FARM WIFE KILLED IN CANADA
Mrs. Cecil Whisler of near Winterset was killed Tuesday afternoon in an automobile accident in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada.
Mrs. Whisler, her husband and her aunt were in Canada to visit Mrs. Whisler's father when the accident occurred. According to reports reaching here Wednesday, Mr. Whisler received minor injuries in the accident but is not hospitalized. The aunt however was seriously injured in the crash. She is from Webster City, Ia.
Mrs. Whisler is survived by her husband and five children.
The Whislers moved to a farm two miles east of Winterset from Iowa Falls about two years ago.

July 28, 1954Mrs. Cecil Whisler of near Winterset who was killed Tuesday of last week in an automobile accident in Canada was to be returned to Winterset this Wednesday for burial.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Webster City. The body was to arrive here Wednesday afternoon and services here were to be held from the Grace Baptist church at 3 p.m. conducted by the pastor, the Rev. E. C. Shute. Burial was to be made in the Winterset cemetery.
