DEATH OF MRS. IMES

Last Friday night at 9 o'clock Mrs. William Imes, living three miles southwest, departed this life after an illness of two weeks, the culmination of years of ill health. Barbara Miller was born in Maryland, July 1818. She married William Imes in Pennsylvania, with whom she had lived for many years, having raised to maturity a family of six sons and six daughters, one daughter having died when young. She had been a resident of Iowa for 34 years, moving from Ohio in 1855.

The funeral obesquies were conducted at the house by Rev. Chas. Hoover last Sunday and the remains of this old and much respected lady were interred at the St. Charles cemetery with all of her children, save one, her husband and many other relatives and scores of friends around the area. Her work was well done.
