Obituary.

DELAIN—Died, in Madison township, Madison county, Iowa, Dec. 31st, 1889, Willie Tracy, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. William Delain, aged three years, ten months and twelve days.

This bright little boy was an intense sufferer for about three days. Was taken with a sudden cold which terminated in that dreaded disease, membranous croup, which is so fatal among children. Yet amidst all the care and sleepless nights of the loved parents and all that kind neighbors could do, death claimed its victim and the spirit of little Willie took its flight. To the bereaved father and mother and little brothers, we would say: in this dark shadow of your life, he resigned to the will of the Divine Father; and while the burial of your loved boy has been the saddest New Years of your life, take comfort from the words of the Savior who has said: “Suffer little children to come unto me and forbid them not, for of such is the kingdom of heaven.”

On New Years day the little body was conveyed to the Worthington cemetery, and after a short funeral service in the church the little body was laid in its last resting place. “I am the resurrection and the Life.” “Oh death where is thy sting, Oh grave where is thy victory?”
