Mrs. Davis, the wife of M. W. Davis, who has been a sufferer with dropsy for seven years, passed away to rest on Wednesday morning last at 1:30 a.m. The funeral will take place on Friday at 2:00 o’clock, at the residence in the northwest part of the city.

This will be a sad blow to Mr. Davis. He and his wife have come down to old age companions together. They had no living children, and now that she has passed away it will leave Mr. Davis to face the years that may yet remain to him alone. The sympathy of the community will be with him in his loss.
