Death has visited this community twice in the last week and took with him two of Madison county's best and most noble women.

Mrs. Ed Monaghan, a middle aged lady, of whom to much cannot be said to her credit. She leaves behind her a husband and eight small children, the youngest being but 17 days old. Mrs. Monaghan was a woman respected and beloved by all who knew her.
