Mrs. Sarah Parsons, in company with her husband, Mr. G. W. Parsons, of California, came into town on the noon train on Saturday, expecting to meet their son-in-law, Mr. Andrew Rowe, of Macksburg. Mr. Rowe, not aware of their coming, was not there to meet them, and they went to the Farmers' Hotel, across the street from the depot. Mrs. Parsons expressed a desire to lie down on a lounge in the hotel, whilst Mr. Parsons, in order to allow her to rest quietly, stepped out on the front porch. He had not been gone more than ten minutes before Mr. Snyder's little girl, going into the room, found her dying.
Mr. Rowe's brother telephoned the sad news to Macksburg. Coroner Hebron was summoned, and at the inquest held it was found that the deceased undoubtedly died of heart disease.
