Rev. and Mrs. Davis have been sorely bereaved in the death of their little daughter Mary, aged six years, on the 18th inst., after a brief illness. Mr. and Mrs. Davis are honored members of the G.A.R. and W.R.C. and desire that their sincere thanks be tendered these societies, for kindness shown them; also to their neighbors and friends for their heartfelt sympathy in this hour of bereavement.

The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Peck of the Baptist Church, who tenderly administered to the sorrowing family the consolations of religion. "That our Father who gave, and hast taken from the evil to come" will comfort them in their loneliness is the prayer of their many friends.
