Services Held For DONALD WOODWARD

Graveside services for Donald Danforth Woodward of Des Moines, formerly of Winterset, were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 19, at the Winterset with Rev. Scott Grotewold officiating. Mr. Woodward died Tuesday, September 18, 1979, at Iowa Lutheran Hospital at the age of 75.

The son of Willis and June Danforth Woodward, he was born on August 4, 1904 in Winterset. He lived in Des Moines most of his life and was a laborer until his retirement around 1940. He was married to Edna Romine in Des Moines, and they were later divorced.

Survivors include a son, Donald G. Woodward of Des Moines, and a sister, Marjorie Maxine Smith of Des Moines. He ws preceded in death by his parents and a brother.

Note: Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
