Mr. D. P. Peterson, of Grand River township, died very suddenly last Friday evening. He worked in the field all day gathering corn. When he came to the house in the evening he remarked that he did not feel well, he ate no supper, but went directly to bed, probably about six o'clock. A little after eight he was found dead in his bed, the body having already become cold and rigid. The remains were taken to Des Moines Monday for burial.
