Page 1CLARENCE MINTURN DIES
Clarence Minturn, former Winterset resident, died at the Mercy hospital in Des Moines, Saturday morning January 6th at 2 o’clock. He was 42 years of age, and had only taken ill with pneumonia, on Thursday. The following day he was taken to the hospital.
Mr. Minturn was the son of the late Ben Minturn of Winterset, who was formerly in the implement store, which Fred Hartsook now owns. He was graduated from the Winterset high school, but left Winterset about twenty years ago. He married Miss Jane Irvin of Des Moines, and she with their two children survive him. Mr. Minturn was an employee of the Atwater Kent radio company. In addition to his wife and children he leaves his mother, who has been an invalid, for the past year, and three sisters, Marguerite, Dorothy and Genevieve, all of Omaha.
Funeral services for Mr. Minturn were held Monday morning, January 8th, at nine o’clock, at St. Augustines church and burial was in the Glendale cemetery.
