We are called upon to chronicle the death of another of our old and respected citizens, Theodore Wight, of Webster township. He has been quite feeble for some time and has been a great sufferer for several years past. He was born in Bourbon county, Ky., April 4, 1818. In 1845 he came to Madison county and settled on the land where he made his home till the close of his life.

Theodore Wight, one of the good and truly noble citizens, passed away from earth last Friday at his residence in Webster township, after a long confinement by sickness.

Mr. Wight was born in Bourbon county, Kentucky, April 4th, 1818, being sixty-eight years old. He came to Iowa in 1855 and settled on the farm where he died.

He leaves a wife, and his children - four boys and three girls - only two survive him; George, who was with him still, and Mathew, now of Utica Montana. But they are not alone in mourning his loss, but are joined in their sorrow by a very large circle of friends both in country and town.
