We had room last week only for the briefest notice of the death of Mrs. F. M. Roper, who so long was a resident of Winterset. She had been a sufferer for a long time but she passed peacefully away with every member of the family at the bedside. She was buried in Wisconsin. Mrs. Roper was a most estimable and cultured lady, beloved by all who knew her, and in Winterset social circles held in the highest estimation. The peace that passeth all understanding is now doubtless hers.
