Wednesday, December 28, 1966FUNERAL THURSDAY FOR MAMIE STEVENS
Funeral services were held last Thursday from the Collins Funeral home in Winterset for Mrs. Mamie E. Stevens of Winterset, whose death had occurred here Dec. 20.
Mrs. Stevens was 66 years of age at her death. She was a native of Adair county, where she was born July 14, 1900, a daughter of Frank and Addie Garrett Lowden. She had lived in Madison county for 50 years, most of that time in Winterset.
As a young woman she was married to E. B. Laizure. Her second marriage was to Jack Stevens of Winterset. He preceded her in death.
Mrs. Stevens leaves two daughters, Mrs. Margaret Elliott and Mrs. Eunice Collins, both of Des Moines; one grandson; and a sister, Mrs. Osa M. Dunn of Minneapolis.
