From the Los Angeles TRIBUNE we clip the following obituary of a former resident of this county: "Died, in Orange, January 13, 1887, Newell Kinsman. Deceased was born in Williamstown, Orange county, Vt., in 1824. He left Vermont when quite young and resided for a time in Illinois, moving from there to Iowa. He entered in the army for three and one half years, coming back to Iowa, and in 1880 he moved to Nebraska. In July last he emigrated to California, hoping that our mild climate would help him to recover his lost health, but in this he was disappointed, and his summons came on the 13th to attend the final roll call. Mr. Kinsman served during the war in the 31st Illinois regiment. He was a member of ---- Post, No. 198, G.A.R., of Beaver City, Nebraska. He was also a member in good standing of the A. F. & A. M., and was buried by his brothers with appropriate ceremonies. He leaves a wife and two children to mourn his loss. He was an earnest Christian, and had been a member of the Presbyterian church at Beaver City for a number of years. He was a kind father and devoted husband, and his bereaved widow and fatherless children have the sympathy of our entire community.
