A terrible accident occured at Heagley's mill, near St. Charles, last Thursday. A man named Ross, who was feeding the large saw mill, was struck by a sliver thrown from the saw which entered his eye and penetrated the brain. He was almost instantly killed. After he fell the saw cut off his heel.
