From the St. Charles REPORTER we get the following item: "The telephone informs us that the young son of Thomas Burke, living a short distance west of Bevington, was accidentally killed yesterday morning in attempting to board a moving handcar on the Rock Island road, the lever striking him on the head and breaking his neck.
